What is more fitting than wearing a red swimsuit at the Red Sea? I am absolutely in love with this vintage one! It felt wonderful to wear this number on our boat ride on the Red Sea in Aqaba, Jordan. While I was sad that our trip to the Middle East was reaching its end, I loved the idea of a day of rest and relaxation after all the adventuring the days prior (check out the previous Jordan outfit diaries here, here, and here).

For some reason, I have been more into one-piece over two-piece swimsuits lately. I think a one-piece can be just as flattering on the body, especially if it comes in bright red and has a contrasting white belt to give the suit extra shape. Honestly, I felt like I was on Baywatch, Aqaba Jordan edition! For some cultural flair, I tied a patterned pashmina around my waist that was rich in color! The red in the scarf picks up on the red in my swimsuit and lipstick. In addition, the pink complements the suit and the brown contrasts gorgeously. To top it all off, I put on my oversized Prada sunglasses for that final vintage vibe.

While resting on some cushioned white chairs on our boat, I sat in my Jordanian Baywatch look and soaked up some sun—and a good book! It could not be a more perfect day. The day only became more picturesque as the sky turned to the colors of my pashmina at sunset. My friends and I beheld the colors of the sky, a metaphor for our time at Jordan. It was a beautiful, surreal, and bittersweet finale. I will miss Jordan immensely and hope the feelings of spiritual revival stay with me wherever I may be in this world.

Keeping it Krischic,
