Pretty in Pink is not just an ’80s movie title, but an absolutely appropriate way to describe Sketch Restaurant in the heart of Soho, London. What could be more heavenly than a pink-walled, pink-chaired teahouse and restaurant filled with tons of sassy sketches? It was the perfect blend of girly, urban, and retro-chic décor—and the food was delicious too!
To match the bubblegum ambiance, I decided to wear some pink as well! Of course, I wasn’t complaining as pink is one of my favorite colors! The jewel of this look is definitely my short-sleeved sweater. Its sequined pink owls all over match the restaurant’s pinky hue and eye-catching glamour. To keep my top as the center-piece, I kept the bottom half of my outfit muted with a black skirt and tights. I love how the tutu nature of this skirt gives the sweater shape and an added “cutesy” factor. For extra sparkle, I am carrying my signature pink kate spade handbag with pink rhinestones. Diamonds may be a girl’s best friend, but pearls are a young lady’s! This pearl necklace with matching earrings are the perfect accessories—oh and so is pink champagne!
Looking back at these photos makes me miss the glitzy hotspots of London like no other, but I’m glad for the memories I took home with me. I cannot wait to go back to Sketch someday. Remember ladies, always classy, never trashy, but just a little bit sketchy! In addition, I promise to keep it krischic!
Keeping it Krischic,
Kristin Vartan
