Serving you up some 20th century Hollywood glam for my 21st birthday! Always having an affinity for the silver screen’s golden age, I decided to channel my inner vintage starlet for my birthday dinner.

I traded in the red carpet of Hollywood for the red carpet on the Napa Valley Wine Train, an Edwardian dream on wheels. With this as my scene and the bubbly of Dom Perignon champagne on my lips, it is safe to say that the outfit was that final sprinkle of magic to transfer me back to the previous century!

The main attraction of this look is my custom made silk green jumpsuit. I love how the scoop neck elongates my neck while the cinching at the waist accentuates my torso. The cinching ends in a high waist pant, quite befitting of a retro jumpsuit of the ’40s.

What is a red carpet look without its accessories? A structured leather purse scored from a vintage shop and some pointy nude Mary Jane shoes are the perfect bookends to this ensemble. And last but certainly not least, some statement rhinestone earrings, a burgundy lip and a coiled curl to the hair to successfully channel my inner ’40s starlet! I couldn’t quite put my finger on which Hollywood heroine I was emulating until my friend Mallory told me, “Hi, I’m sorry to bother you, Ms. Vivien Leigh, but the reporters outside are dying to know what life is like with Clark Gable on the set of Gone With the Wind!” Well, there you have it, folks!

Stay tuned for the sequel to my 21st Birthday Outfit Series where I travel further back in time–to a Medieval Castle winery!
